I'm surprised that the OP, being in information security, hasn't realized that the sending of encrypted zip files has now been blocked throughout the enterprise. Attend some more update calls. :)

Regarding the OP being in Information Security and getting another job in a week:
I’ll give you a piece of IT advice for free. There are jobs where they plug bodies into slots and then there are jobs where they want to make sure they have the right person for a challenging role, which can take weeks or months. Being a body in a slot is fine for the first five, maybe ten, years of your career. But being able to replace your job in a week is a humblebrag at best. I can do better.

they only care if you are in with the right people, whatever that takes to do; doesnt matter if you are in reality the most skilled, smartest or top performer, more or less its who you know even if you are completely unqualified.

Unfortunate at best. Issue is the management hired here is like art majors with maybe mba's. they know nothing in the areas they work, so being a good bs'er is all you need to do to succeed here.

Ignorant OP – clearly not taking (or paying attention to) training or reading Employee Handbook.

You cannot securely send WF emails to your personal email account (not permitted).

You can only take photos of your computer screens.

You undermine everything else you said with your ignorance. If you want to get written up or fired, fine. But don't encourage others to put themselves at risk.

I don’t think it is fair to call employees who are not making lemonade out of our lemon Wells Fargo executive management teams “pathetic trolls”. The cause is Wells Fargo management, and the result is low employee morale. Not the other way around. Something doesn’t add up in @OP Fantasyland.

Well OP. After reading your additional replies, you have revealed your true colors. It is you who are nasty, not us. If this is your brand of “caring”, please do us all a favor and keep it to yourself I will take authentic negative emotions over fake positivity any day.

The newer employees, who haven’t lived it, and want to preach to us what “we shouldn’t be worrying about” cause me more stress than the authentic posts from those who are reacting to the reality of their current situation.

@OP here. This experiment went about as I expected. Most of the people commenting here most likely do not even work at Wells Fargo. They just come here to antagonize people and make them feel like sh–. They get off on it I guess.

As of this writing, it has received 14 down votes, and a few negative comments. These people are living their pathetic lives waiting for others to be impacted so they can somehow feel better about themselves.

At least this test didn't disappoint...

As the @OP, I am not uncomfortable with anything on this board. However, some people take what you trolls are doing and do get emotional. I was simply trying to let people who may be impacted know that some of us actually care.

I am in Information Security and in a highly in demand discipline. So I don't care if I get laid off, I will have a job within the week.

So, you can f— off and keep living your pathetic life making people feel bad on a layoff board.

OP: If the emotions shared on this board make you uncomfortable, my opinion is that you should not come out here. I do not spend my time on Vegetarian boards trying to convince people to eat meat. It’s pretty simple, really.

I for one value this board or I wouldn’t keep reading it. If a recruiter comes to me with a promotion (money/title) a few months ago I would have told them it was a bad time. Now, I’ll at least return their calls.

What I don’t understand is why anyone would read a message board about layoffs at Wells Fargo and get upset that people are discussing the perceived unclear, arbitrary, and poorly communicated layoffs at Wells Fargo. What were you expecting, Bloody Mary recipes?

Just find another job and shut the puck up.
