While I understand that we all cope with stressors differently, I wish those that are taking this the hardest would try to relax some. Wells Fargo is not hiding the fact that there are layoffs happening right now! Watching for FedEx package notifications and speculating at what every little thing going on means is not going to change the possibility that you will be laid off. It doesn't change the reality that it brings, and isn't healthy.
Don't worry about stuff you have in the office. They will get it to you. Really, they have no need for it and it is just as easy to chuck it in a box as it is a trash can.
You will get severance if they lay you off. What that looks like is somewhat educated at this point, but there will be something.
I am not saying that you should totally trust Wells Fargo. I am not saying that you need to trust Charlie. But honestly, the last thing Wells Fargo needs right now is more negative press. They seem to be generating it just fine with out f—ing over their employees.
Forget the pandemic and the return to office strategy. Worrying about any of this is not going to change what they are planning.
If you were rated a 1 or 2 on the mid-year, make PDF print outs of the emails they are sending that say there was no forced ranking, or that it automatically means you get laid off. We all know its b—s—, but it is better have a copy of that and not need it, then vice versa.
If you don't know how to get these PDF's from your computer, put them in an encrypted zip file and email it to your personal email. Make sure it is encrypted with a long random password. Write it down if needed.
Only you are going to advocate for you. So, do it. They may be able to control your employment. Don't let them live in your head in the meantime. Basically, don't let the b–tards win.
I realize the stress causing trolls will down vote this. But, I mean this sincerely.
