I don't know why you all are upset. Most of you won't have to worry about returning to the office after 11/17.
The Pfizer vaccine needs to be stored at 70 degrees below celsius. That means we need to come up with a deployment strategy that we've never done before, it will take some time.
And it's going to take some work to get everyone vaccinated no matter what company comes up with the best solution, and we need the rest of the world on board as well.
Whatever the "approved" or "warp speed" status is doesn't really matter, what matters is we all have realistic expectations for the next year or two and plan our lives accordingly.

By using past tense words such as "was" it indicates that something actually happened, but the opposite is true.
The fact is, it has NOT been approved and we don't know if it will be approved. It may very well in the future, but as stated, the poster misrepresented the facts.

this is how I look at things (just my observations and conclusions)
- History - the spanish flu (in my opinion was similar situation to the current pandemic) - got spread fast, people either survived and got immune (for long enough) or not; distancing and use of masks seem to have been most beneficial in reducing the spread. The virus mutated and eventually became endemic. With sarscov2, virus cannot spread as fast, more efforts resulted in greater containment of the spread but people are discouraged from relying on the natural immunoresponse of the body, which is best and better than that developed as a result of immunization. People are encouraged to stay at home. Gyms are closed, outdoor recreation less available (this is the time to exercise and be outdoor!). Higher stress makes the body weaker and negatively affects health. We are told to rely on vaccine. Other therapies such as the use of VNS known to lower inflammation (and potentially reduce or eliminate the cytokine storm leading to the grave complications of covid. So the way I see it, by having continued supply of hosts with poor or no immunity this will be dragged out for longer and with possibly worse outcomes, considering that host immunoresponse will be less than it could be, had they not bleached and sanitized their environment. Research confirms that kids who don't get a chance to get sick early in life have more health issues and problems with immune system as they grow older. Some disease literally is a result of that.
- vaccine - manufactured already, and prior to the research completed? no, thanks very much. I will pass. Flu vaccine is not effective. It is a good year if it reaches 50%. People who got the vaccine still die from the flu.
- viruses mutate all the time. there is a documentary on netflix about international effort in the identification/monitoring of the flu virus in particular. This isn't the first time and won't be last. THere were many other pandemics in the recent years and nobody was putting anyone on a lockdown. This is airborne virus spread by asymptomatics. So unless you have strict quarantine on arrival (enforcement not feasible) - this will be just another security blanket like the non surgical masks, sanitizer and plexi glass. What a ginormous waste of money. Not to mention the poor souls dead as a result of using contaminated sanitizer (lethal preventive measure).
- mysterious inflammatory syndrome in children exposed to the virus - in fact it is not so mysterious and it is known to a large community of parents of children with autism and long list of other developmental delays. Yet nobody is looking at the food we eat, who controls what goes into it and /or educates people as to how to avoid it. Because in the modern era of doctors sick people are good business and a lot of money (if not all of it) can be squeezed out of them, even on their way out of this planet.
Oh, and masks make us inhale co2.
To each their own. I comply with the mask mandate indoors, because it's a waste of energy to push against it. I was never a fun of Trump, but believe that opening up is the only way of dealing with it.
My choice was to increase the likelihood get covid in the summer (I wouldn't want to have it first time when new flu strains are out) , take advantage of cheap travel and go have fun and enjoy life as much as possible. I eat healthy diet, avoid processed food, walk. Send my kids to daycare, alongside with children of first responders. I use a vns daily. I feel awesome and don't have a reason to be afraid of covid. I know my body can handle it.

Hey guess what DA, many folks actually lost weight during the pandemic because they were able to spend MORE time exercising because they got the time back wasted in commuting. LMAO, I am a permanent telecommuter until I relocate, so I won't be going into anywhere anytime soon. I negotiated not moving until there is an approved safe and effective vaccine AND therapeutic widely available, so, I won't be seeing anyone in an office dor another 1.5-2 years sweetie, but you do you and act like you know everything, when the fact is, you know nothing.
