Will people have to go back to work soon? Seems vaccine won’t be out until next year

Hey all, the new Pfiser vaccine announced today seems promising, but keep in mind it's a deep freeze vaccine, and some of us live in Arizona.
So even a few minutes sitting in the sun on the loading dock can cause the vaccine to lose potency.
I have high hopes, but always do your homework, and don't take the word of some internet rando or trolls like @1plb+17PmofCC.

The WHO even states that most vaccines are only 85% - 95% effective. Flu vaccines are 40% - 60% effective. Your excuse for not going in is almost over. Enjoy the next few months.

until the number of emails i receive in a given week for my midwest employees indicating someone in their office tested positive goes down I don't expect to be going back anytime soon. wear a mask people and social distance.
Pack your bags. Pfizer has an approved vaccine. Millions of doses were prepared under Operation Warp speed to vaccinate Americans as soon as FDA approval was granted. However, probably won't see it until early 2021. High risk people may have access to it before the end of the year.

Everyone asking COVID questions here needs to find a reputable medical website and study up.
This is a layoff rumor board. There are no epidemiologists here.
If you follow the CDC you'll know that a vaccine is not expected until next year, if at all, if we do get a vaccine we don't know how effective it will be (60%? 70%?), and it will take a year for everyone to get vaccinated because there are 330,000,000 Americans, and another 7,000,000,000 other people on the planet.
You can't just vaccinate everyone in the USA and call it a day, that's not how the modern world works.
Keep in mind I'm some internet rando and you should do your own research, but please, don't find some political outlet, find an actual medical website, or the CDC.gov.
And people are already back to work, most of us never stopped, it's just people dealing with the public or in crowded environments who had to stay home.
Most businesses have made accomdations for COVID by now, it should be mostly people dealing with the public that we still need to look out for.
For those laid off they get unemployment and severance. For those who kept their jobs they have to commute and take on more work and get covid.
