Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

SF will not be our home anymore...(per me-lol)

Just saw this....

“Overpaid Executive Tax” in SF hits firms that pay CEOs 100X more than workers.

For purposes of the tax, compensation includes wages, salaries, commissions, bonuses, and property including stock options, as well as "compensation for services to owners of pass-through entities, and any other form of remuneration paid to employees for services."

We all know he’s in NY and so are all his friendsies. So, just seems logical to me we call it quits with SF between this and property rates.

I don't think of stagecoaches when I think of NYC, I think of Pace Picante sauce.

I think CS may be a short timer, vest and bolt, so he may not care where HQ is.

Moving from one high rent city to another makes sense? I guess?

Corporate HQ was really Minneapolis from 1998-2008. Charlotte after that.

If you couldn't see that you weren't paying attention.

look everyone has known for quite some time that SF is a dying corporate location and is a fake HQ at that. If we're basing HQ as largest locations of employees (like practically every other company does) it would be Charlotte. At the end of the day, who cares where HQ is? Doesn't matter for any of us really.

Old news, please keep up. Note that this applies to companies doing business in SF. Wells would have to not only move HQ, but also get rid of all the branches and ATMs to avoid the tax. Not gonna happen. Will this further accelerate efforts to downsize workforce in SF/bay area? Doubtful but whatever.
