Not saying that only the retarted will choose to stay. That's simply not true. Lots of brilliant minds here. But it is definitely true that EM will choose to treat everyone who stays as r—ds. So go figure.

It's all a PR move to show that EM's cut is smaller than Shell's. Look at the way it was reported in the BT. Casually mentioning Shell's 500 cuts, but that is spread over 3 years, and of which (only) 200 by 2021. Reality is more cuts incoming but no disclosure to the press and without/smaller severance package.
Only 300 layoff for MPT only and must be announced to the world is very suprising lah.

Been in the co for 8 yrs and getting piped s—s but gotta feed the fam. I have always been in always in middle third in ranking but only getting 6xxx. Ppl out there am I getting shortchanged?
Yes if you are given the package - go. There is no need for loyalty to a company. The company is there to make monies and you are just a tool. You are valuable only when they make monies, you are not when they don't make monies - so all this performance appraisal to some extent is crab and a tool for managers to "manage" people.
