Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What’s with the aggression

I have been noticing an uptick in some aggressive comments out here. Might be a sign of the times. Might be employees are frustrated with the firm and are expressing their anger in the only way they safely can- anonymously. I think we have some participants who are getting their jollies by stirring people up.

Years of dysfunctional management and greed in the upper ranks is where it all started. And personally, I think the new management team is just different names playing a similar game with an approach that will be even more destructive to employees, customers and shareholders. What I do know is that the predominant problem is not the guy sitting next to you. Everyone is just trying to survive working for a broken firm. A more productive approach would be for employees to band together.

Just me, but I ignore any comments out here that are s-xist, racist, ageist, disrespectful. I don’t waste my time on comments that use inflammatory words like entitled, head-in-the-sand, ignorant, do-nothing, uneducated, c—roaches etc. I think some of the posters are frustrated employees who might have a genuine point to make, but they lose all credibility if they can’t communicate without being so incendiary. Or I assume they are non-employees who enjoy stirring the pot.

The comments on this board are incredibly soft for people working at one of the big banks. The kid gloves are coming off. Exhibit A is repetitive questions of “When layoffs?” and “Am I safe?” and “What’s the severance?”
Spend 15 minutes researching this board and you find your answer to those questions. Instead, folks just fire off generic questions that have been answered multiple times. It’s so telling of the quality of the workforce.

Do you know there is a global pandemic and other events happening around the globe? Of course there will be tough times for many people.

So, what do you want employees to band together to do?

I am not the OP. But interestingly, this is a word-for-word compilation of several my own previous posts. I guess I could take it as a compliment, but it makes me wonder who this OP actually is? It feels creepy.

There is a brand new news event now just happening now, same thing again, guess issues at the firm are not fixed with the company even though all the execs from before have left.

Previous poster here – yes, we know know that – Scharf's preference to formalize the relationship and make it clear employment is earned.

Given the amount of corruption from within, I'm glad to see TM go.

The new echelon is using the term firm. Also, we are no longer team members. We've been rebranded to employees. As polices are updated, they are changing from TM to employee.

While I agree with much of your post, you lose credibility when you use the word "firm"...I don't think you work for WF. Otherwise, you'd use words like "company" or "organization".

Using "firm" detracts from your message and makes you seem like a fraud posing as an insider.
