People seem convinced that a part of the latest loan will go toward severances, but I can't see how that could be the case. At this moment, all the companies have been given a perfect opportunity to get rid of as many people as they want without providing them with severance. Just check some of the other forums here, some are already taking advantage of that to lay people off with no severance instead of furloughing them.
So why would AT&T bother with severance? I highly doubt that the clowns on top have suddenly grown a conscience...
