Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

T Comes Through for us Premmies

Seven weeks of dodging the Coronavirus beer flu with no protective gear other than what we could salvage from our own garages at home, today, today, my company came through for us.

This very day, our warehouse handed out a bar of soap quite possibly stolen from a Holiday Inn Express, two mismatched pairs of latex gloves they probably bought off a Jiffy Lube guy and five fabric masks cut from somebody's panty hose.

We are ready for battle like Delta Force Chuck Norris bro!

Bars of soap have been available for over a month now. We do not have masks yet but we have had hand sanitizer for a few weeks now and we have small Gloves that are orderable by the managers. It is amazing to see the vast differences of supplies that we have or don’t have.

SE here, the latest from our manager is, “I don’t have any soap but you can wash off with the water you have in your water cooler and face coverings are ordered. Don’t listen to those shelter in place, non-risk, desktop warriors that pop off about what’s happening in the field. We all know the truth!

Yes troll, we will keep putting ourselves, families and customers at risk doing a lot of non essential work so you will keep getting paid. I know of techs that have already contracted COVID-19, spend your blood money well because it comes with a price paid by frontline employees.

Hey snotty p–pyhead with your PPE since March BS - I don't know what gated community you work in, but out here in Middle America Coronaland we have had gotten jack squat from this company since this began.

Heck man, we haven't even been able to order coax cable for our DTV jobs since last November. We build jobs with sc-aps! You think they are going to spend money on PPE?

The OP is right whether you believe it or not - my shop got pretty much the same box of useless feel good c-apola last week. And yes, we have been making our own sanitizer - sharing bleach solutions and gloves from one of us with a box from Harbor Freight.

Masks?

Heck man - I've had customers give some to ME!

Our own Bosses have been hiding safe at home for 8 weeks while we go into houses and businesses full of people every day with a 10 times worn mask and a spray and pray bottle of Clorox.

Don't you even think you can compare your WFH laptop warrior life to mine.

You piece if trash...AT&T has been providing protective supplies when available. Don't publicly lie just to make your own self feel better. Starting in late March AT&T has need providing hand sanitizer and wipes. Many were not comfortable wearing a mask but some did.
Why would you put all the onus on AT&T anyway. Do they pay for your gas to get to work? How hard is it for you to make a bleach solution where you can wipe stuff down for yourself. Step up and be an adult don't ask for someone to wipe your butt all the time
