I'm getting surplused. I'm curious how long it took AT&T to remove the employee concession promos. I'm lucky enough to retire with MR75 and subsidised healthcare, which includes concessions.
The retiree docs say your promo will be changed within 3-4 bill cycles. That seems really long, as I always heard that they removed the regular employee discount in 1-2 bill cycles.
Since the company quit prorating bills, I don't want to get stuck with a giant TV/Internet or landline phone bill.
Happy for any information you all have to share, both for retirees and non-retirees, as it will be good info to share with others on my team who are being surplused.
Looking at the retiree docs, we get a 25% discount on Internet and IPTV (Uverse). The landline phone is a $20 dollar discount in the doc. When I called the employee care line, they said it will be 20 dollars each line plus any taxes. The agent didn't seem very sure, though. A 20 dollar discount sounds like 20 dollars off, not a 20 rate, plus they stack every optional calling feature on there. Just worried I'll be charged $150 per line.
I switched to the T-mobile 55 plan 2 years ago and it has been great, so I'm not worried about wireless.
I am curious if anyone noticed a difference in timing between promo removal on their wireless bill vs. their Internet/TV bill.
I hope I'm not doubling my services cost at the same time I'm losing my income.
