Can someone explain what is meant by AT&T does not update their age tables? I thought the issue was that the AT&T payout for those who are forced to retire prior to 65 are impacted as their monthly annuity would be less than the actuarial equivalent of their vested benefit, as required by ERISA.

Even if you did take recent surplus you can get these figures. It’s estimated based on when you take it not your last day do work.

I'm so glad I didn't take the last MVO. This is a much better lump sum.

Last year they tried to get everyone to quit and take their lump while interest rates were higher and the lump would be lower

Should be pretty accurate. Fidelity is currently using them for 2020 lump sum pay outs

Last year they dropped a lot at this time of year. They are looking much better now, even better before last year's drop.

How accurate are these figures?

You don’t have to enter the new segment values Fidelity is already using them. Just enter the date you’re looking to retire and not submit. They will show if you enter “assumption Details”

  1. 04 ..... 3.09 .... 3.68 ...... NOT 4.68 .... and they are not auto populated in the Fidelity calculator ... you have to enter them to see what your lump sum is after 01/01/2020

Just do an estimate on your lump sum for 2020 and then click on assumption details and you will see the new segment values

Does anyone have the IRS Segment rates? I, too am anxiously awaiting these rates; but, I don’t understand what has been posted here.

I checked the IRS Table with the Segment rates this morning before coming to work & rates for November were not yet posted.

Att still doesn’t update their age tables so does it matter. That is partly what the lawsuit is about. It all has to be correct.
