Thread regarding Wells Fargo & Co. layoffs

What was Mktg Summit all about on 11/15?

Was it meant to tell us to be grateful and not go postal when tons of layoffs happen soon? (Moldafsky kept referring to big changes coming. Like we don't already know that now that Scharf has arrived.)

It was an oddly tied together collection of presentations with little setup or context and and a fizzle for a wrap up (like the company itself). Moldafsky MUST go. An entire day away from work for something that does little to address our massive pain points and leaves us scratching our heads. This is your brilliant plan Moldafsky?

Have empathy and compassion for customers (based on data, of course, NOT because it's the right thing to do) when our own company and management have none for us? Start with treating employees better. Otherwise, you have nothing.

This company is a block of ice. No heart and frozen...incapable of real, honest change.

Why go sit in a conference room and lose a day when you can listen to the meeting with one ear and maybe actually get some work done while people are busy s—ing up?
Nobody does the work for you while you sit and smile and pretend to give a rip.

Marketing is so deflated, many team members didn't even attend the meeting in person as requested – stayed at desks and didn't go to conference rooms in their buildings. How's that for demotivated?

Don't blame them if they had phone interviews outside the company.

Sad state of affairs. Very few care about the company that has destroyed any trust.

  • zerO risk management with this company. Don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot of lip service, “We’re all risk managers,” ... but seriously? I’ve been here for over 10 years and I’m patiently trying to wait them out. I realize that they can change the severance policy at the drop of a hat, but I’m still trying to wait them out till February when the 50 shares they so “Graciously” gave us vests so I can give them the middle finger as I dance out the door. By the way, I work in corporate risk, and my management has their heads so far up their asses that they need to go to a proctologist for a dental exam.

The only actual purpose those meetings serve is a checkbox on JMs to-to list.
