When AT&T first bought Direct TV, they were doing everything possible to get customers to switch from UVerse to DTV including: threatening to disconnect service or massively raise prices, signing customers up for DTV instead of UVerse without telling them, or outright lying to the customer.
Randall and friends were desperate to replace UVerse with satellite. DTV was going to be the next big thing for this company. Now only several years later, formerly happy DTV customers (that haven't yet left) hate their AT&T DTV with its lousy customer service, formerly happy DTV technicians (that haven't been laid off yet) hate their lives, and the shareholders of this company have lost a fortune due to Randall's complete incompetence. If Randall's AT&T is good at one thing, it is acquiring healthy businesses and completely destroying them.
Maybe the board needs to ask itself: does this clown have the slightest idea what he's doing?
