Not a Good Look

For People Team Recruiter to be posting pictures celebrating the beginning of summer internship program when 1,000+ employees have just been laid off!

Next step = Product sale???

Just wondering, now that the layoffs are done/almost done, is KE considering selling off and products for further savings?? Any thoughts what products might go??

New layoff

I heard there’s another one coming. I guess the investors are not reacting as expected (this part is just me guessing or trying to justify( but I don’t really know. Anyone has more “concrete” news?

No Payout for accrued PTO?

While I'm sure that HR has done their legal homework, I have to ask...is it legal to NOT pay out for accrued PTO when laid off for financial reasons in Texas? I don't recall signing anything to agree to this changed policy.

Lost Sabre ID :-(

I WFHed out of state and haven't visited Southlake in 3.5 years. So naturally my ID has gone missing. What now, no severance pay? Or am I taking all the threats too seriously?

Is my pension safe if Sabre goes down?

Legacy employee, just sent to showers. If Sabre eventually goes down, is my pension safe, for the rest of my living days? How does that work?

What is wrong with this place?

Why can't they ever get their act together? Reorg after reorg; layoff after layoff. Every year! For decades! I was rif'd two decades ago from this company. It paved the way for finding my dream job at a much better run firm - a giant, by the way. And... — read more

Mass exodus

Whomever I talk to, I notice the same thing: people are very unhappy. I wouldn't be too surprised if a mass exodus ensued?

Getting new offers

I don't want to spend any more time thinking about Sabre and trying to make sense of these layoffs. Sending resumes and looking for a new job is now my main priority. Some people are afraid that they won't be able to get a good offer for a long... — read more

Despite current executives, Sabre will be successful

I get the sentiment - they laid me off, so they s*ck, management stinks, and the company is in a downward spiral to bankruptcy. But if you've been around long enough, you know this industry is cyclical - yes, definitely in a spiral now, but most... — read more

CAE (MVD) - when are the restrictions over?

I believe active Sabre employees will be allowed to be considered by CAE from March or Aril 2023, I cannot remember the date. I don't feel comfortable here any more, does anyone know/remember the actual date?

For some of us, this is a blessing in disguise

Of course I am very disappointed. I feel naive because I put in a lot of effort here and got "rewarded" with a layoff. I lost my job at a very difficult time for me. However, somehow, despite everything, I try to think positively that this is a... — read more

I guarantee you things will get better

Layoffs are never a walk in the park, there's no doubt about it. But hey, once the initial shock wears off and you find a better job, you might actually end up thanking them for the wake-up call. It's like a slap in the face that jolts you into... — read more

Bankruptcy is inevitable

I was let go off this Monday and I was lucky to have my as covered with a backup job. many gud and honest talent were let go off along with me while some as lickers got saved . Bankruptcy is inevitable. For those honest and hardworking folks who... — read more

This is just outright shocking

Been with this company for many years (was impacted this time) and like others saw many many layoffs throughout the years, since it is Sabres nature to do layoffs. This massacre is just outright shocking and so many of the folks let go were the glue... — read more

Future of Sabre - Bankrupcy?

Just look at the stock price. Investors will continue to pound it down. Way too much debt that may not be able to be refinanced and not enough revenue. Can't even go private again - too much debt. Cuttings costs is a temporary fix to hide low revenue... — read more

Why wasnt this process finished on May 15?

They got us all on a call on May 5 to tell us the great news that 15% of us would be kicked out. We were told this would happen on May 15 but wasnt complete on that day. There are still countries in EMEA who are waiting and the company seems tio have... — read more

If customers are complaining about support

Age?

A lot of people that have decades under their belt were laid off. Of everyone I knew being laid off (DFW/USA based) I feel I was the youngest and I'm pushing 50. I recognized that people that have been with Sabre for 20+ years probably are high... — read more

the ship is sinking

If this new skin suit CEO had two brain cells to rub together, maybe this company would have a fighting chance. Clearly neither are true. If you were affected, take some comfort in knowing you don’t have to move forward with the amoeba leadership and... — read more

Worst managed layoffs

Of all the layoffs that I survived here, I think these are the worst managed ones. Do you agree?

Massive damage

Sabre will never be the same again because this is a huge loss of institutional knowledge for this company. I think the damage done by these layoffs is irreparable…… I don't think the leaders gave enough thought to the fact that damage is easy... — read more

I'm not handling this well

I was laid off yesterday. I feel completely overwhelmed and I can't concentrate on anything. All I keep thinking about is the layoff and if there's anything I could have done differently to keep my job. If you were in a similar position, how did you... — read more

Leave immediately or…?

I'm interested in whether those who got laid off have to leave immediately or not? Someone already asked this question but there was no answer.
