Legacy employee, just sent to showers. If Sabre eventually goes down, is my pension safe, for the rest of my living days? How does that work?

You don’t have a pension. Just a 401k
Your pension under AA era umbrella should be frozen
Look up Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation. Its similiar to FDIC for banks.
