Layoffs are coming

Don't lull yourself into a false sense of security. It might not be today or next week, but we are due for a major cleanup. Too many overlapping jobs to last much longer. Realistically, it's really not sustainable long term either. I just wish that... — read more

Finance Layoffs

Does anyone know of upcoming layoffs in the finance org for RMD? There's alot of redundancy between legacy IDS and MS roles, and some of stuff they are rolling out is sketchy as f*ck. CAMs, are no longer on the hook for programs, the IPT/CPTs are... — read more

bad company to work for

I worked at Collians, and the people in NC havnt a clue what they are doing. Lots of unnecessary OT, people in positions with nothing to do and mangers allowing employees to do nothing all day. The CEO Hayes will still get his big payday while the... — read more

Promo to corp or stay safe on programs?!

I currently work in RIS on a program. I was offered a promotion to work at corporate. I think I'm going to decline it because I'm too worried about potential lay offs at corporate. What would you do? They announced just yesterday 15,000 lay offs are... — read more

Raytheon 15k reductions

Connecticut facilities are getting more of a closer look for being put to the blade due to much higher costs relative to other locations capable of performing the same operations.

Raytheon layoffs

I heard from Pratt Whitney 17-20% reduction by years end. So they have to give notice.

Welp, Dow Jones Gave RTX the Boot...

All of this cost cutting and all of these layoffs, yet getting the stock removed from the DJIA is all that was achieved. Gotta love it!

UTC got lucky

Looks like UTC got lucky with the merger/purchase of Raytheon. With all the cuts at PW and Collins, it looks like the Raytheon part is what is keeping the new company afloat. Still dont understand why Kennedy decided to merge/sell Raytheon. They... — read more

Heads up, the layoffs are starting

2021 Restructuring?

Over the course of this merger I have been keeping tabs on many small details that I believe point toward a major restructure in early 2021. This will be a long winded post but I would like input from anyone on their prerogative. Raytheon was... — read more

Severance?

Somebody else asked this in another thread and I'm going to join them: do we have any idea what kind of severance packages we are looking at? Considering the current situation, I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to save money by reducing... — read more

RE: Layoffs and Other "Cost-Cutting" Measures

I think most people know mass layoffs are coming. What's pissing everyone off is how they're dragging it out. Waiting until just before the holidays is a big f-you becaussle that's when other companies slow down and stop their hiring for the year (so... — read more

Layoffs at the legacy SAS are happening quietly. I was unofficially told to expect notification next week. These layoffs have everything to do with the merger and your pay grade. In my department there are open reqs and I was told that I can not... — read more

Raytheon Fix

If you had all power available, how would you fix Raytheon?

Hmmm

Where did you hear Raytheon is tightening its belt "across the board?" My understanding is that legacy Raytheon still continues to hire for new positions and is not facing furloughs / pay cuts. Meanwhile, only SOME employees with Pratt &... — read more

Workers layoff, Executives payoff

Is this what my "deferred" merit increase is paying for? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2020-06-02/raytheon-leaders-get-merger-windfall-amid-furloughs-pay-cuts

Why is Raytheon tightening belt?

If Raytheon is primarily a defense contractor, like Lockheed, and government contracts have not yet been affected, why is Raytheon tightening its belt across the board? Are they simply anticipating a drop in revenue, or have they actually lost... — read more

Run while you can

The merger numbers at face value make no sense even with early or encouraged retirements. Just do a comparison to the reporting of other companies like Boeing and Lockheed you'll find current employee levels are not sustainable. RayTech could... — read more
