Regardless how the axe falls Monday, put your list of questions together, call HR back and make them answer all of them to your satisfaction...every last one of them. If they give you an answer you didn’t expect, follow up if it inspires a new question, and don’t be shy about it. Ask until you’re satisfied. Record those Q & A’s with HR, you can bet they are doing the same.
If you catch the short end, you will be given info to join live Q & A meetings, over a period of weeks, to ask questions, or hear them being asked.....these meetings typically run 60-90 minutes and expect repetitiveness, a lot of people will be of the mind, "what do I do now? What is my Severance and how is it calculatedly?" Many questions will give you your answers from the hosts that conduct these open forums. I went through this Oct. 2016.
Record these Q & A’s, you may miss something but you can play it back. Like me, anyone will want to attend multiple Q & A’s cause on occasion a new question will pop up. I found that recording these sessions helped my focus, to help me shape my (as we like to say) next steps!
Good luck Grasshoppers.
