Sounds like most of us here have our blinders on, you, my fellow AT&T workhorse included. You probably remember when it was good enough to show up with a resume in a suit and have great interviewing skills, knowledge about the company and a degree....
Well be prepared now you need a professionally written LinkedIn, recommendations, professional resume to get past the hr software...
Networking cards, additional separate more readable resumes tailored to the position, know someone at the company your applying to, and have something Elvis touched.
And the money you love so much AT&T is paying you.... Say goodbye to half of that... Easy.
This isn't your old time job market. I'm not sour...I loved my job.... I worked hard everyday and commuted 2.5 hours a day to do it.
The shock of it will hit you when it happens and even though we've told you all this...
You will be unprepared, stunned and dumbfounded.
And then, a few months will pass, you'll get used to it and you will forget all of this mess and you will move on...
Good luck bro!
