Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

EWA Staff......Set those Hotel room alarms clocks....12 Hours Tomorrow and Sunday.

Get to bed early tonight, make your calls home, and hear how things are doing at home without you. Kids got to be getting taller while your away. Time you'll never get back. How's the wife holding up? Oh well, tell me how great it is in that hotel room making money, While your life slips away.

"Jqm - it's "their" not "there". See, if you had gotten an education instead of knocking your wife up at senior prom and having to climb poles all of your life, you would know the difference."

Wow, your grammatical skills will sure come in handy after you are RIFd, work at WalMart and everyone constantly runs to you with a Sharpie in order to make up a sign for an endcap.

See, that MBA sure will come in handy! You'll top out at about 45k after about 15 years.

Wife has Insurance. I'm not sure that Masters degree is working out...just look at you right this second! Stuck in a Hotel room a thousand miles away from home, watching hotel room TV on a Friday night. with 12 hours of working in the rain tomorrow ahead of you. You might even be drinking. Go to bed already you're probably a little drunk.

"*you're

no wonder why you need the job security in the contract. too stupid otherwise."

Talk about jobs security, these H1-B visa (who will replace you soon) are running the company and setting the tone:

Don't worry, when you get RIFd, and seeing you critique one's spelling and grammar like an annoying 8-year old school girl (who is the teacher's pet, and picks her nose and sniffs glue) you can use those skills at your local, minimum wage free community newspaper after your RIF lol

It's working out very nicely, thanks. How's having to look at your kids knowing that you've just thrown away their health care and safety going for you?

Oh we aren't cranky. We're actually employed, our kids have health insurance, and now quite a little slush fund building up. And all I have to do is sit on my butt doing a job that requires no skill. I'm actually enjoying not having to think too much during the day while i think of where I want to go on vacation. Because we do actually get vacation even on EWA. The only thing better is looking forward to a nice RIF package after it's over and I can take all the money I've made and go do something else. Because unlike you who can only look forward to climbing poles or crawling through basements like a rat for the rest of your life, I have my Masters degree and plenty of options. So again, I win, you lose. But you need your rest now bud. You have a long day of walking in circles ahead of you tomorrow.

WOW, those lonely hotel rooms sure do make you EWA people cranky. It is Friday Night, your stuck in a Hotel room. Your life is passing you by. Your Not home. Your missing your family. It's not like you can jump in the car a drive 2 hrs home....Your a long way from home, and now, No end in site.

No, i don't have to worry about that. See, my family is based on morals, values, and respect. Unlike the union trash who obviously have been raised with no values and who choose to sit around doing nothing while their kids go without insurance. The union trash who choose greed over respectable work. The union trash who want something for nothing and believe the world owes it to them. Even if I lost everything, I would still be better than union trash because I have self respect, an education, and am not stuck climbing poles or crawling under houses for the rest of my life. I win, you lose. I win simply because I'm NOT you. Now, go look at your kids and try to explain why daddy is too lazy to work so they have to be sure and not get sick because the free clinic isn't open on the weekends.

You certainly have a lot to say for someone that is unemployed and eating hot dogs on a picket line outside of a Wireless store. By the way, don't you picket every day too? How much do you get paid for walking in circles? Are you going to march counterclockwise or clockwise tomorrow ? Does this whole dopey routine ever give you pause?

I always find it both sad and funny that the union members all seem to think wives will be sleeping around any time they get a chance. What does that say about these guy's relationships? Do they just know that their own wives can't be trusted? Or is it that they, themselves cheat every chance they get so they assume the same of others? Why would these people even stay in relationships with so little trust?

The OP is such an a$$hole. The union just lost a big battle this weekend and now the strike will move in to a new phase. The company will meet with the Union on Monday, better hope that goes well. Otherwise, you are going to be walking in circles just like the donkey ride at the local fair.

Being away from my family isn't fun, but making over $2,200 this weekend doing a job that a 5th grader could is. Set your alarm clock for 11:59pm Saturday night! Benefits for you and your family run out. Gotta go....room service is here.

Set the alarm clock tomorrow for you to get up and walk around in circles going broke. Set your alarm clock for Monday and wake up without any insurance and benefits. Set the alarm for another 30 days when your wife will be screaming at you that the bills are late and the union wouldn't pay for little Jonny to go to the doctor. Set it for another 30 days for when she packs up the kids in the old family station wagon and leaves you for a real man with a job. Oh well, you will have more time to wax your back that way. What a moron loser.

That's nice the family is coming to visit, it's almost like your in prison. You get family visitation time. Then back to your cell, or in your case, hotel room.

Pretty darn awesome - the money I have made just in these 3 weeks will give us a spectacular cruise, possibly Hawaii or Alaska instead of the usual Bahamas - and my family is coming to visit me once school ends and spending a week out here - during which time I will also get days off. And to top it off - I'm working LESS hours than I did at my regular job - and getting paid OT (something I never got as salaried). So, yeah, working out quite nicely!
