Severance packages amounts
Can anyone tell me what kind of severance pay they received? 2 weeks of pay per every year of service? more ? less? Any health benefits?
Qualcomm probably would have done better investing in San Diego real estate instead of investing in all that R&D....
Just an observation...The ROI of any real estate that Qualcomm owns in SD is probably more than any sort of meaningful output out of most of Q's R&D budget these days....
how much you make?
my salary is ~$115k/year.. I put in about 70 hours/week minimum.. that's roughly.. $31.59/hr.. so really I only make ~$66k/year.. plus stress/pressures/anxieties.. it's priceless!!

Heard an unqualified rumor that there are two additional waves of layoffs scheduled. Has anyone heard similar?
A fellow employee just told me that he was told that there are to be two additional rounds of layoffs to take place in the coming year. I find that difficult to believe (it would just give the appearance of a continued downward spiral). Just curious... — read more

Medical benefits different for executives?
I'm a non-manager employee at Qualcomm, and have found the health benefits (no premiums) to be very nice. But I've heard rumor that once you are promoted to a certain level, the health benefits get better. I'd like to ask: 1) If true, what level do... — read more
