Layoffs? We don't need no stinking layoffs...

Well, actually we do. The QC rumor mill (which is almost never wrong) says as many as 5K by the Fall. Of course, this is subject to change, if the board wimps out again (like they did in Feb. when everyone was so angry about the huge bonuses given to... — read more

Insider stock bailing

Our board chairman obviously has no confidence in the long term prospects of Qualcomm, regularly bailing out in a big way. http://finance.yahoo.com/q/it?s=QCOM+Insider+Transactions Irwin is likely doing the same but, correct me if I'm wrong, doesn't... — read more

Qualcomm is at the tipping point.

Qualcomm is at the tipping point staring down the steep slope of economic ruin. Look how quickly RIM and Nokia crashed. One day they were on top the next they were devastated. Will that be Qualcomm's fate? Being just a silicon vendor is no longer... — read more

Looks like the rest of their business is doing alright. Which means, they have a shitload of money to throw into the mobile space, even if it means continuing to pay customers to adopt their architecture, like they have been doing to get SOC wins... — read more
