Fact - layoffs are happening this week - I know quite a few people that were informed this week. Awesome they do it right before the holidays...
Best of luck to all!

@zg thank you! I've been working on something much larger, for the past 18 months, related to the increasingly toxic culture of a company, that very proudly proclaims to be one of the most ethical in the business. Layoffs were never part of that argument, but depending on what I learn, I very well may include it.
Thanks again!
@x7 Unfortunately for US employees, whole departments have been offshored to India and Poland.
Greetings, former USB colleagues!
I wasn't part of a layoff, per se, but I was most assuredly fired last year, following a spotless 12 year tenure, and it's quite the story.
My sincerest condolences to anyone who's recently lost their job or is currently at risk being laid off- please know that there is life after U.S. Bank, and if you find yourself in that very undesirable position, hang in there... it gets better! ❤️🩹
That said, this is all of great interest to me, and I'm wondering if anyone would be kind enough as to provide any additional details as to what's happening?
I just happened to run into one of my former employees, who now works in underwriting, while at a neighbor's party, a couple months ago. He too, mentioned layoffs, but more specifically, that some jobs were being outsourced to India.
I tried to find something online, that would corroborate his remarks, but unsurprisingly, there's next-to-nothing of substance, regarding anything to do with layoffs. Has anyone heard anything to this effect?
God Bless & All the Best!
Management looks to extinguish happiness, pride, and job satisfaction. Their goal is to ensure everyone feels uncomfortable and unhappy.
@d4 we used to be this way. October was it for the year. If you made it through October you could kinda exhale and hole away some more money and hope you survive March. Now it seems those days are over and this will be every month from now on.
Most responsible organizations have a hiatus on layoffs for the holidays. Speaks volumes about the company I guess, glad I got out when I could
It's stressful to deal with multiple layoffs EVERY year now. The workforce can't have always been like this.
Are there more layoffs that will happen? Or is everything announced this week..
Regarding talent. Henry Ford famously paid his workers so they could afford the model Ts. Result is generational climbing of the middle class.
I think the model of all big banks is to destroy the middle class with layoffs and then have checking accounts for the remaining poor to pay those oh so juicy overdraft fees.
This could go on for a while and the top will get big bonuses.
Redistribution of wealth to the rich, yay!
I'm so tired of winning in this AMAZING economy. Aren't you? SOOOO thankful we have weak labor laws, deregulation, and shareholder supremacy. Trump will save us any minute now.
There was a large reorg announced today that had wording that was pretty clear two were shown the door. This came with some layoffs as well. This place is so godda-n heartless. Letting people go the week before a major holiday and before the holiday season. I'm sorry to anyone that lost their jobs this week.
Please give more deets.
@a3
Makes sense considering USB hasn’t cared to acquire any talent for a while now and is actively working to push the little remaining they do still have out the door.
Talent Aquisition got hit
