You will get unemployment in Illinois if you state that it is due to a force adjustment being the reason you left.

i think its voluntary.....doubting the unemployment. Either way if i get the chance this old timer will gladly give the younger guy the job. Almost 44 years and i'm 62 this November...its time.

Low seniority D-bags... what a piece of sh– comment that is. Being proud of your work ethic is one thing but to call people D-bags because u feel your seniority entitles you to anything is laughable. Just because you managed not to get fired, which it is almost impossible to get fired here, unless your dumb AF. Doesn’t make u a good anything, soon enough this side will get swallowed up by uverse and then you’ll run. Most plants have been destroyed because of lazy high seniority techs that don’t do their job, imma take this 50k because I have waaaaaaaaaay too long before I think about retiring and I will be damned if I work weekends while incompetent techs continue to sink their own ship.

Hey mo–n! Many of us are "Land Line!" We work on Fiber. Without Fiber, there is NO Wireless Or Anything That you think is important!

The offer will be made to specific areas that are affected. It’s not every market.

That garage that the old timers spent a lifetime trying to get to closer the their rural home will be hit. Everyone at that garage has 20 plus years. And the reduction will be 17 of 20. The old timers can choose not to accept and stay. Maybe the 17 will be able to bump a prem tech in the metro area and then they can take all that wisdom and technical knowledge to the big city and replace RGs until U else is sunset and then they are let go.

So you survive this round but have to relocate and do a job you have looked downtown on for years just so you can tell your family in the next year or two that UVERSE is done and so are you.
