Before anyone says why haven't I left. I'm trying.
1 - I'm on my 5th manager in 1 year. Everyone has left (many cases for lesser paying jobs just to get out) that had any institutional knowledge or care for the organization. My current manager told me bluntly they are out of here after pay day. Not surprised. Leadership left is abysmal at best. My old leader at another institution got a call from a headhunter for a top role and declined even the conversation.
2 - Morale can't go any lower without digging into the ground. No awkward happy hour or uncomfortable team cheer session will change that.
3 - after six months of confusion and chaos department training was no different. Never seen anything like it at any other institution I have been at. A deck prepared by consultants and presenters reading off the page. By the last day I zoned out because it was obvious not even those teaching knew what was happening.
4- My job keeps changing. Guess this goes back to #1. We have newbies covering things seasoned auditors should be doing. My days are spent answering questions to more senior people and then checking the work of the more junior.
We have fallen far. Nuff said.
