Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Recently left HON, glad to have done so!

It was a fun ride while it lasted but time to go. I was on the Automation/Remainco side and don’t have faith in that team to set any sort of real strategy. (“Launch more NPIs” is not a strategy) For those sticking around, best of luck in the coming Hunger Games! I hope you like eating curry.

@zz same. Another former HCE/HPA here. It was once good and now seems to be at a point of no return. The org must be gutted deep down and some old centers of power in Australia, Fort Washington and some in Atlanta must retire to give way for the new.

The alignment with HPT seems like a good investor story but a forced union in practice. The forced cross business storytelling must be ki-led unless there is real synergy which is yet to be seen after many years.

Former HCE/HPA here - lots of unfortunately accurate posts in this thread along with the excellent brand of Honeywell sarcasm that can only come with years of dealing with the BS. There are a lot of people trying to do the right thing even in upper management (I can’t call it “leadership”) but there’s a lot of rot in the organization that I’m not confident will get flushed out without external influences like further breakups.

I LOVE eating curry and the spiciest one at that. And that aside, the strategy for RemainCo is particularly strong. Honeywell will be a titan company like it once was. The problem is the people and lack of coordination at the moment.

Working with many teams is sort of like the Tour de France... except with kindergardeners with training wheels.... Once the company realigns the structure and how functions engage with one another honeywell is going to be a dominant force in the market.

Everyone complains and has an opinion. But nobody does the work to progress the company forward. Do your part, stay optimistic, and the company you are at will be great once more! Otherwise wait for the "Hunger Games" as you put it and have Katniss Everdeen RIF yo' self.

Indians still play the racism and minority card, despite being the majority at Honeywell and holding majority of leadership positions. As for the racism claims, it amazes me that Indians who believe the company is so racist still choose to work there and move to the U.S. If India is truly the better, non-racist country they describe, then why not stay there? They’ll be fine in India, and we’ll be fine here.

I also don't see Indians leading Honeywell China or Honeywell Japan. Let them try playing the racism card there. Instead, they use it in Western countries, especially the U.S., where they can take advantage of softer laws and policies.
