Thread regarding CDW layoffs

D-Day This Week

Get ready for independence from CDW day. If the past is an indicator of the future, Tuesday or Wednesday will be the day. If your boss or Director is ignoring you, that’s your number one sign to pack it up.

@qt
The bloodbath will hit the company more in the short-term as they'll need to spin it as part of the whole Ai is saving the company $ via roles no longer needed.
They'll need to continue buying back stock and hope that the remaining AM's and engineers can grow the legacy business while ramping up services spend at a higher rate.
Interested to see what areas get cut as people have also been leaving on thier own according with commissions being cut so much.

Good luck everyone.

@q1 What got you here won’t get you there. In this business evolution is the name of the game. I hope you survive the bloodbath tomorrow.

@q1
Not those at the very top but I've noticed some managers, directors, and even first level VP's get "pushed" out then you see a rosey communication about them taking some time to spend with thier family.

I feel bad for my tenured peoples that are stuck because of mortgages and being sole providers for their families etc.

From a shareholder standpoint...the board should be on thin ice as you get so many resets before investors pull funds.

CDW was pulled from the Nasdaq 100 just last year. Hence the aggressive stock buybacks...especially the $1 billion recently spent after the single day 20% drop. Investors have noticed.

Sad the cancer can't just be cut out. I still have major HATE for handfuls of bad humans there and hope nothing but the worst in life for them as they deserve it all.

Funny thing is as a former AM, they not only underestimated my work ethic but also my intelligence as they have to continue working and selling themselves out while I'm basically retired.

Hope you're doing well as I can tell from your comment...you're one of the decent people among the 1000's.

@pr I feel the same, unfortunately many of the people who got CDW to where it is now will most likely not be affected......highly doubt those at the top are going to cut themselves.

Excoworker/current shareholder.

I have a severe dislike (I could use other words) for many people still there.

Hope the trash is taken out and it's unexpected for them since those cr-p humans think they're untouchable.

So many fake posts on LinkedIn making CDW seem like some paradise. Makes me want to vomit.

Let the next wave of layoffs begin. Love reading the aftermath on LinkedIn.

Hoping lots of managers and directors are included. It would bring a smile to my face.

My boss is ignoring me but to be honest, I’ve been ignoring my boss the past 2 years

My boss didn't respond to my messages but to my credit, I started job hunting as soon as the first leak started. Every year at CDW for so many years there are layoffs and obviously corporate has neither a vested interest in looking out for us nor the wherewithal to improve. If you are able to leave, you would be wise to consider doing so for at least the hope of a more stable and reliable employer. Don't wait until it's too late! You have the most leverage while still employed.
