Thread regarding Humana Inc. layoffs

The stress-to-reward ratio here is completely broken

I'd do anything else at this point - different company, different industry, I don't care. Healthcare years are like dog years. One equals five. And I think I just ran out of years.

@qk I am very sorry to hear that. Few unless going through or have gone through can fully understand the amount of stress this had caused many if us, even to the point of adversely affecting some of our health, in some cases.

My manager is horrible and the reason my days are filled with dread. Too scared to report it and not willing to let it make me quit. Emotionally drained.

I agree. As a nurse I don't think I have ever been this exhausted even after working 12 +hours on the floor 3 days in a row. The mental gymnastics we go through on the daily is absurd. Not to mention how nasty some members can be to us when we are just trying to help them. I totally understand their frustration though. Humana is incessant and harasses members with texts, emails and calls about switching to their stupid mail order pharmacy, I know because they do it to my parents. They are not doing this for the members benefit, it inflates their yearly bonus, let's be real here.
