Today Verizon gave many employees, including myself their own October surprise and laid off a good number of employees. They wouldn't say how many or in what areas, but I find it extremely hypocritical that this was done on the same day, leadership is touting on LinkedIn the launch of "Not Done: Women Remaking America" and the fact that more women have been laid off over the last 6 months due to the Coronavirus, with catastrophic financial impact to them and their families.
How many women got the axe at Verizon today? Especially those over 55, whose prospects for landing another job are even worse?
