@172 Imperial oil stock is not worth the same per share as XOM. It’s not 50% less, but still not equal if they only received 160 shares.

@t8 how come 320RSU? I got same cl and same rank - only 160.

1% ranked outstanding the last 3 years. 😡😡🤬🤬😡😡
Stuck in Carlsbad the worst place in the US. Hard to keep working hard when I got such a terrible raise. It’s tough enough living in this 3rd world hel*hole without getting the shaft on my raise.

ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods received a significant pay increase for 2024, with his total compensation package reaching around $44.1 million, a roughly 19% jump from the previous year, driven largely by increased stock awards and a swelling pension value, reflecting strong company performance and stock prices despite some profit declines in other areas. His pay reflects substantial growth from earlier years, like the 52% surge in 2022.
Key Details of His 2024 Compensation:
- Total Package: Approximately $44.1 million.
- Increase: About 19.3% higher than 2023.
- Components: Included stock awards (around $26.7M), bonus (approx. $4.55M), base salary ($1.97M), and pension value growth.
- Realized Pay (Cash/Vested Stock): Around $17.6 million in 2024, up from 2023.
Context of Pay Increases:
- 2023: His pay package rose to nearly $37 million.
- 2022: A 52% increase to $35.95 million followed record profits.
Need to post if your raise is a merit increase or merit + promotion (CL increase). I suspect some of the higher numbers being posted are for merit + promotion raises.
@na What is your base salary for CL30?
26, VG, 5%. Likely higher due to being on the lower end of the salary band (which is a key factor for some of these larger increases that tend to get missed)

What I am about to say will upset people but oh well. I have seen an XOM USA-EXPAT job list with salary ranges by level and I didn’t see that many jobs that are $200K+ a year on the 800+ job list so what jobs do you have and how long have you been with the company to get to that level of base pay? I did find it surprising the top pay for some of the jobs that you wouldn’t think would be high paying such as a pipeline operations manager at $177 an hour.

I see that many of the people who post on here are in a role that is on salary and I have to wonder why we have so many salaried positions. What benefit and value do they actually bring the company? I can say that the salaried people in my work group bring little to no value to the company so maybe that’s why they got a little raise. As the oil prices continue to drop it doesn’t make sense as a company to keep paying people to sit at a desk and do nothing all day.
CL 24 and I had a 1.26% increase in my salary! Not happy about it.
You’re making $400k bro. And prob some RSUs to boot,
CL 27. Outstanding for many years in a row, $4k raise for 1%. The great prize for being a site lifer is you get to top out in pay while you watch people you teach to manage risk make more. In what world does anyone want to continue to work harder to be well ranked to get a 0% raise most years? Oh yeah, I forgot that I’m above the market pay band. I’d give a “good” effort if I didn’t have a soul and care about my people.
