@jx what about today?! What am I missing? PSX down to flat while MPC is up 1% and VLO up 3%. Even PBF and DINO are up.

We confuse investors with synthetic multiples, reporting unnatural segments (M&S) when competitors report R&M, talking about ourselves as the only integrated downstream company, and none of it is working. Who should own us? We are at a disadvantage as there is no natural peer, which itself says something. Is the market stupid? If this works, why are others not replicating it?

Pure plays win. All the time.

@n9 This is very much true.bit it is important to consider that a lot of MPCs TSR comes from speedway sale in the form of buy backs.

On the other hand, VLO has been running us and MPC out of the water

The demand for PSX is not terrible but it’s not a red hot stock either.
If Elliott, one of the most successful hedge funds in the world, says that PSX is underperforming and that they can get us on the right track. I’m going to believe and support them.

@ea Genius that is not how valuation works. You can have a high stock price but low market cap and valuation.

@e1, we’re not winning against our 2 main peers. Their stock price is close to $50 higher than PSX.
The good deals are probably due to Elliott’s influence not Go Go’s ideas.

Our company is winning in the stock market and with investors. Recent deals have been game changing and will set us up for decades. This page is just full of low iq haters who have either been fired or need to be.
