@sj what is the shift pattern for Xmas period as PMO?
You Christmas as being canceled. I see it as a celebration. Bring on the change
@j3 silly person, HR doesn’t exist for the employees….. it’s totally there for the company to make sure they don’t get in trouble.
@mr
Were they referring to the beverage division, the Frito-Lay division, or both?
Layoffs and plant closures were definitely announced during the earnings call. PepsiCo also aggressively focused on cost cutting. More work, less pay. Good luck everyone.
@j3 yup everything becoming everone for themselves....HR also knows theyre on chopping block.
From earnings call...basically clear
There is a rightsizing of our go-to-market as we see the labor market stabilizing some of the excess labor that we had in go-to-market.
Now we can probably live without those extra coverages. So those are the three main areas. There's, you know, the global levers of, you know, we're servicing PepsiCo from global capability centers and some of the changes we're making in how we service the company that it's also a continuation that applies to a free lay. Now the good news in Frito Lay is that when we see the productivity per FTE, is now at the levels of a couple of years ago. So we've been able to get to those metrics with the reduction of fixed cost that we've done in the last six, seven months.
There will be a continuation of those interventions in the balance of the year.
The HR at this company must have hearts of stone especially those that are in leadership positions that have been with the company for years. How can you consistently layoff 100's of people without it affecting you deeply and claim its just the economy, take the emotion out of the process, this is unfair to this person etc BUT HEY I HAVE MY JOB. Think about the amount of whistleblowing that could happen if someone actually spilled the truth. Its your Moral compass what it once was after being apart of the process that rips peoples life apart? HR is familiar with employment law better than most yet they consistnely dance to the immoral beat of leadership allowing people who should keep their jobs to be let go, allowing bullying, bias unbalanced departments....knowing that a portion of those being let go have valid lawsuits, but hey the company will throw hush money at them so it must be okay. how do they sleep at night?
I’ll be highly impressed if this is even remotely close to anything that actually happens. I think this tread is a dud.
@hg are you the original poster?
CFO exited, new one from Walmart next month. New CFO while activists are shooting missiles at the HQ usually means one thing. Happy holidays guys
@OP what is that supposed to mean? How do you know?
Elaborate…
Weak post. If you really know something spill it. If not stay in your lane
