Thread regarding Xerox Corp. layoffs

Project Exodus

Project Exodus is about to live up to its name.
What started as another corporate initiative may end up becoming a mass migration of talented people out the door.
Enjoy the short-term “profit” from squeezing Sales compensation. You may hit your Q3 and Q4 numbers. You may put it on a slide, declare victory, and tell everyone the strategy is working.
But somewhere along the way, a company built on salespeople, relationships and customers became a company run by bean counters. And while the spreadsheet may look better today, you've set something else in motion: the exodus.
People are packing their parachutes. The best will jump first. And when they go, they’ll take years of experience, customer relationships and institutional knowledge with them—the very things that helped build this company in the first place.
That’s the sad part. There are a lot of incredibly talented people here who carried this company through good times and bad, and customers who depended on them.
So to everyone getting ready for the jump:
They may take our bonuses. They may take our commissions. But they’ll never take… OUR FREEDOM!
🪂 Good luck with the jump, everyone. See you on the other side.

They owe alot of money, need to pay down debt. Our commission is a operational expense to them. They don't value sales and will do everything from delaying plans, delaying payouts, sandbagging quota then adding it in when someone hits their target to not pay out. Funny how executive comp and SLT is so cut and dry. They should be giving the retention bonuses to the feet on the street not the Executive deadbeats.

Sending employees through the meat grinder and then yelling free sausage for all.
Definitely is not the way to make money.

It’s a boost in morale as there is free sausage for now. But later on
It will be a complete nightmare.

@c0 it’s true. For most part what is left are all the low talent boot licks. Especially in marketing where they let the talent walk. Then the mo--nic sales leaders with their fake titles. The cupboard is full with D tier talent.

2 weeks pay per year? What country? They maxed it to 12 weeks in the US about 10 years ago. Before that it was 1 week pay for year, down from 2 weeks years before that.

Profit is meaningless at this point. Revenue growth is the only important metric. You do not get revenue growth by sc--wing around with sales comp. If an SLT member has a profit measure included in their bonus calc, it's a fugazy.

Don’t bet on that. This is not 1980.
They will play games with you and not pay squat for your service.
May… be an Exodus?

Understatement of the century…
