Rumor time: End of wellness week

Farewell wellness week. Welcome unwellness week. No idea if someone will actually TELL the wage slaves or not but word is it's dead.

Wellness week saves the company millions. It’s not going away.

HR doesn’t do anything this significant without the approval of the senior executive leadership team.

@dg maxim number what?? “Do the right thing” unless you are in a leadership role where favoritism rules the earth. What IF Nike was actually a place where secrets weren’t secrets anymore. Where leaders had morals and integrity. Wellness week wasn’t enough to become well and recover from the toxic work environment.

@fh Don’t put your trust in HR, they are definitely reading these posts and they definitely aren’t looking out for you. It’s like saying that the speak up portal protects employees. It’s a broken system and your voice doesn’t matter. Use it to sing in the car instead.

It won't be a big positive impact in productivity, but it will be a big negative impact in morale.

It would be petty if they did that. I hope you're wrong OP - but if you are right, I hope HR reads this and thinks again

I hope it doesn’t end. Many areas of Nike and Air MI are 24/7 and Wellness week is a great time for planning building maintenance and major outage projects. For the rest of the lucky ones, it’s the one week you can really relax realizing you won’t be behind when you return. Many large companies have that one week per year so I hope Nike keeps it.

Just move to one of the other companies that have wellness week, tell us when you find it and also when you find a company that adds pto days over the years at the same rate as Nike.

Not entitled whiner

Summer is basically non-productive time at whq. There is a couple of holidays, summer hours (which technically is 1/2 friday but you know people fudge it), and wellness week. Throw in JDI day and whatever celebration. And northwest summers are the best PTO time. It was great getting paid and working out in the free fitness centers and running the campus trails.

So wellness week was a nice perk. But that’s what’s PTO is for. So get back to work and get that stock price up.

exposing employees to 51 weeks of a toxic work environment and endless sh-t just to give them 1 week was the best virtue signalling move ever

I am glad that the hypocrisy is over.

Next get rid of the maxims please as leadership has no intention to follow them and retaliate against anyone who takes them seriously

@b8 really, now..... the PTO hours bank maxes out at ~10.5 weeks. But maybe you have a special arrangement?

Who cares, I racked up enough PTO to take 6 months off. If you care about a measly week you’ve got issues
