Saw that TEBG gonna give price promotion to boost sales for 3Q end. Looks like times are getting bad to salvage the next earning call.

CBTD is scr3wed up. Merged commercial and transport, and right now decided to divorce again. Back to square one.
Bendy Bendy. Why did you approve this move?
@jm
Bendy is useless. Suffers from inferiority complex and makes sure the experienced people are out. Keeps ‘yes’ people around her. Great recipe for disaster
TEBG Has been manipulating quarterly results like this since Bendy Wower came aboard. Short term thinking and its totally sc--wing up the business and customer relationships too.
@g8 and….. now we come full circle. All being driven from BB top down, cutting everywhere but demanding to hit the numbers for Wall Street no matter the problems it’s causing inside. It’s starting to implode everywhere.
things are getting worse because every functional VP or director is setting targets that are conflicting each other. Cut inventory. Improve service leadtime. Cut maintenance spending. Cut overtime for operator. Improve machine run time but with minimum upgrading.
I DONT CARE HOW YOU DO IT, JUST GET IT DONE
@ft supply is getting worse again. Everything backing up and quality is in the toilet. Can’t keep equipment going and all my group spends time on is customer complaints because we keep missing dates.
@d5 now planning is park under that stef@n guy. not getting any improvements too
What has happen to our masking high temps tape, it has fallen off the face of the earth,, record complaints, customer switching even after giving them silly discount prices,, if products don't start getting better then they are off for good,need better scotch blue as well ,, which plants make the Scotch Blue and Orange 2525, they are shocking
@d4 planning function is a disaster…. Why the last leader probably got fired. Always dealing with upset customers, it’s commitments, have too much stuff of one thing and not enough of what we need. Total mess.
This sounds like unplanned excess inventory and a coordinated promo to resolve. I like the promo solution, but why or how did we build up such excess? We had years of inventory reduction plans; did something big happen, or is it poor planning process or the result of training gaps? Or was it an intentional build of inventory for year end promos? It feels like context matters here
@cx same here. Agree.
Stop the fake news…. my manager he walked us through promo offer yesterday here in EMEA and it’s a promo where we have too much inventory and now we are trying to get new wins with customers and it’s been reviewed and approved. You spread bad info trying to make problem.
SIBG is doing same thing with big promos on excess inventory. Seems too many plants made a whole bunch of stuff not needed and now everyone has to get rid of the inventory.
They did a price increase in Q3 hence sales were pulled in earlier into Q2
Now that they realize Q3 sales has been impacted, they gave up price to pull in the demand from Q4 into Q3
They are really managing by the quarters to answer to Wall Street
That's the new norm. They did this most every quarter the last year. This is not sustainable IMO and not a way to grow the business in coming years.
