Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

The #1 disengaged employee is Sleepy Ward. He has mastered the art of snoozing while wide awake. Honorable mention is his doofus side kick that hosts “lunch n’ learns” explaining to seasoned enterprise developers that it cost more to fix bugs later in the cycle. sssSSSSSLLLLLAAAAPP!!!!!!!!! right across that stupid face! No freaking sh-t. Tell me more mr. science.

@dv

Time to modify the requirements. See how simple that was, and still beyond your capabilities.

No wonder you cling so desperately to RTO.

@fc and neither are you. That’s why you’re so easily replaced. Think about that as you’re shown the door.

There in lies the difference between you and I. You don't know when you will be cut. I will have some warning and have options to follow the work. You are terrified of getting the tap on the shoulder to get out NOW. I would welcome the severance package to leave.

@bw we don’t like it because it’s boring and really quite easy. During your strike management handled the load well. Funny how easy it is to take over your responsibilities. Brainless work

Well, if you were sent to strike duty to do "brainless" work, then you were not considered an "essential mananger". AT&T's term, not mine.

Think about that.

“We” don’t, johnnyboy…..this is 100% an executive mismanagement. YOU broke it, YOU fix it…….this is like daddy beating the kids then demanding they provide him with ideas on how they can improve their attitude, smh…….

Start treating employees like assets, instead of like a cost to be eliminated. I have watched so many talented people get cut. You can't get back that level of experience.

“Let them wfh”

This no longer matches current job requirements.

Simple. End RTO efforts and let people go back to working from home. Culture is good when people are happy.

Then you boys and girls will have to go out into the field and do some work. In the past during strike duty, it was clear that you guys don't like that much.

Yep, all of these H1B + offshoring efforts during a "white collar" recession got be met with tariffs and taxation in the name of putting America FIRST.

Clean house with layoffs based on rankings. There are still too many bare minimum freeloaders.x

Terminate the leadership, issue a retraction of the prior policies. Only going to get worse. Numbers are going to continue to go down otherwise.
