@as The call center metrics is not a secret...AHT has always been on the call center's scorecard in one fashion or otherand it has been for many, many years...you can't run an effective call center without metrics and reps being available to answer the phones...they have published metrics to reduce talk time, metrics to keep AHT to under 13 minutes, etc....all of this not hidden or new..

@er guess you mean number of calls made/received for NCC folks because most people don’t use their office phones and hadn’t since before pandemic lockdown. One reason we went to Zoom phones other than to save $$.

But regardless tracking emails is a waste too. They tired to track all keystrokes till it slowed our computers so much we couldn’t even do basic tasks. And meetings held? I only own one meeting a week the other 25 meetings are ones I join in on.

They only care about days and hours in office versus remote.

@OP with the increase in AI, they will begin tracking: 1. Keystrokes 2. Number of emails sent/received 3. Number of calls taken/made 4. Number of meetings held. Those landing in the bottom 25% will be coached, PIPPed, managed out, and worst case fired. Look for this to start happening later next year once the Board comes down hard on "T" and the EC for lack of execution of performance especially lost plans, outflows, poor hiring in Frisco, and high expenses. Just watch and mark my word.......

Interesting read.
But make no mistake, TIAA knows how long you’re in the office and how long you’re online or “active” in the office and at home but isn’t doing anything with the data just yet (or are only focusing on seriously bad offenders).

But they can act on the data analytics and probably will, very soon. Either January 1 2026 or July 1 2026 after Denver is gone since they can’t track as well there versus buildings and campuses they own. Also expect 5 day RTO to return 9/1/2026 as that date was the required move to office date for relocations. Seems like they plan to move full RTO then worldwide.

A few interesting points potentially holding TIAA back from implementing what AT&T and others are doing…
“Executives at these companies say the moves boost collaboration and productivity.”

Yes. I love collaborating with myself and 20 other people on my floor who are not on my team and we have zero similarities or connections in our job functions./sarcasm…. I/we collaborate more on Teams, Zoom, and Email as always for the last 5 years ears the 10+ year before the pandemic lockdown.

“Enforcement that is too strict or error-prone can cause other headaches within an organization — pushing out experienced employees, making it harder to hire new talent”

Yup making finding “fresh/young talent” in Frisco even more difficult.

they track us and do absolutely nothing with this information. This company has had free loaders for YEARS. Stop wasting your time worrying, or just try working…

@ar So I heard that call center employees have to have a certain minimum time and can't have over a certain amount of idle time. Everything is measured but they don't want you to know at all.
