not yet over. Few folks let go in Prague today. I expect more to come in following days.
Looks like it is not over yet for Prague office, today, I received a 1-2-1 meeting invite with my direct manager for "Confidential Business Meeting" scheduled tomorrow morning.
@ym It is reasonable to expect it is over for Cz. Don’t know why it’s taking them so long to do the rest of Europe.
So - is it done? Or next week until slowly everyone is gone?
@w3 Last year the US termination notice was silent regarding RSU vesting during garden leave. The dejobbed held their breaths until they vested.
IIRC, for current employees RSU awards are granted in September. I suppose that for new hires they were granted closer to their hiring dates.
@s2 still waiting to hear too! Anyone have news?
Can anyone from the group impacted in this round confirm if your termination agreement allows your RSUs to vest during the garden leave? I’m not asking about the grant agreement conditions (I know it states they won’t vest).
anything about Romania ?
I'm among others who were laid off today, tomorrow layoffs will continue unfortunately
@ks unfortunatelly not finished yet. ;(
Is it now over for CZ for this cycle? or we still expect more layoffs in the coming days
@gp That was not the case last year. RSU's did vest during garden leave, at least in the US. This was very surprising, as the award grant clearly stipulated that RSUs would NOT vest during Garden leave.
@g2 As far as I know, even during the garden leave the vesting is paused. :( If you want it back, you should find position back in Oracle. Even now organizations are preparing for hiring in FY27 so there is still a chance. Good luck!
@g7 I was laid off on 28 April (UK) and my Slack was active around 24-48 hours after I was notified.
@cs Salary can be one of the reasons (as well as RSUs) but it not an official reason, HRs are always saying that it's a "decision to eliminate the role". For me it wasn't as good as I could wish (below-mid average on the market for position), the factors were listed as "potential", "ability to explore new opportunities" and performance
@fs I was also laid off yesterday but my slack access is still active.
@es it's restricted to only those people who were listed as redundant. Even the emails of them are restricted, nobody can see who else got laid off
@ev noway, last date of employment is aug 31 so for vesting in septemner there's no chance
Slack counts not dropping yet
@ev no RSU with rights after 31.8. 🫤
@ev no
@ej Prague Labour office or Brno?
Can anyone confirm situation regarding unvested RSUs? eg if vesting is in Sep. do they let the coming vest still to pass?
@ej Any chance for link? I am searching Labor office, documents but it seems a bit "hidden" for generic search :)
@eh The number comes from the official document that was prepared by HR and sent to the CZ Labor Office on Friday. It lists all the employer's role that were listed as redundant
@cc 98? where this count is coming from? I hear 11 ..
Are they going to continue today?
@bn theres 1700+ just in NSGBU, so it wouldnt be as crazy...
@bc no, i pesonally know more just from NSGBU, they ahould co tinu until wednesday
@cc sorry to hear that, is this again affecting people with high salaries as I heard from US?
My manager in CZ told me the same...so wondering if you had good salary or amount of stocks?
@cd almost correct with the package. The math on severance is slightly different, it increases non-linearly at some point. for 2 years it's 6 months in total, for 10-15yrs - 8 months.
@cc sorry to hear that...can you tell us about severance, is it 3 salary for garden leave + 3 salary based on law (if 2+ years) +1 salary per year in Oracle on top?
@bc I'm one of those that was laid off today. For today the count is 98, including Principals and even 2 VPs
The package is 3 months garden leave (no work, full pay), then your contract is terminated "in agreement" immediately and you will get another 3 months salary (as per Czech law, termination period is 2 months plus 1 for mass reduction) and then some mont salaries based on length of employment. In other words 5 months + "personal" extra
@bc I'd take the "9 out of 340" at Reddit with a pinch of salt - given that there's 1000+ employees in CZ, that number feels quite off.
Any updates if they will continue tommorrow?
@bg I dont know what was the "before" or "last time".
Czech law says 3 salaries (if you work more then 2 years) + 2 month standard. So lets say, people should get 5 salaries.
Now, i guess they dont give RSU or anything for that....
Then i guess government 38czk capped for next 6 months or so? (but that is not important at this moment).
@bc 5 people i know about where fired today, 4 from netsuite nsgbu and 1 from other business unit.
@ba the terms of the severance pay are exactly the same as the previous round.
Some people on Reddit say 9 employees have been laid off, is that true ?
