@hv over at NorthBelt we are hearing of several cuts coming. Mid level management, select few field, and doing away with real time monitoring services.
Which PSL? Every group? Will this end soon? Seems never ending.

@13g I've only heard about US employees being laid off. The slaves in the eastern hemisphere work for peanuts and lick behind much better so they're safe.

Wages Singapore are very poor so saying no layoffs there is irrelevant. Cost cutting has no effect there

So far in Singapore still hiring. My manager told me as well none in Singapore and none has ever occurred.
@ez The number of sacrificial lambs come from top brass. It is up to mid-level management to determine who from the group needs to be trimmed. That determination comes from succession planning meetings that go on year to year. Mid tier will determine who left will take on the let go responsibilities. So if your name doesn't come up favorably then you are on that short list. Next is when u see ur mid level management start walking through the office or production floor to see who is busy talking about sports, their weekend fishing or hunting expedition or not at their posts for long periods of time. Trust me the ge----o works magic during these trying times. It's not over yet, grab ur tears and prepare for more bumpy ride ahead.
@ef That’s exactly what people were told before every layoff. Your manager doesn’t decide who gets cut, upper management does. Being told you’re safe today doesn’t mean anything if the numbers change tomorrow. Don’t mistake a manager trying to keep morale up for actual job security.
My manager told me not to worry about it that our PSL (Sperry) is doing well and we already trimmed the fat and are already running lean as it is.
All other PSLs need to be worried not Sperry though!
It's not over. 3rd quarter will be weak due to S4 switchover causing a freeze to all transactions.
No way NAL saved the 50M that was the target by the end of September. I would think they are not over for the year at best. Crews be laid down, HP being disputed to active crews to mitigate repair cost and maintenance being deferred for rest of the year. Update that resume and start searching now because they won’t give you any notice before they lay you off, find a job before and bounce on them.
Don't count on it. Q3 is going to be a doozy for Jeff's call.
Resources will most certainly be moved to where they can create the most margin.....
