@ee
It was for 2026, so one more year. You seriously think if they had a plan to close 84 stores by next year, they’d only close a dozen or so this year? LOL! In a recent Fortune article, Tony Spring committed to a “few dozen” in the next years… hardly a plan for 84. It’s a good thing, they’ll make smart decisions about doors that go forward.

There’s a reason Santaland was gone from Union Square

@e8
If true, only surprise addition would be Union Sq. It’s been on the bubble, but keeps making it through. Many thought the list would be much longer. I told you that 150 stores list was gone.

Does anyone know of any New York store closings? Just curious. I’ve heard rumors of maybe Amherst, Jefferson Valley & Parkchester. I guess will all find out tomorrow who’s on the closing list this year.

@b2 how would an admin on this website Have any idea whether or not what’s been posted about Macy’s is true? They wouldn’t! So if some posts are being taken down, it’s got nothing to do with the validity.

I have the same question?? But it seems like all of the people on here claiming to know this or that have went silent because the order of events they were claiming were about to happen, never happened. Seems to me it's still a waiting game? Maybe tomorrow will bring answers. The 8th has been "the release" date being talked about on here for the last 6 months. If the order of events follow last year's timeline the 8th makes sense. Im in a store where we have been on the "list" since it was first released a couple years back. My experience is no news is good news (or bad news depending on what you are wanting). Hopefully we find out soon, this waiting game is awful!
