@eb same person. I was laid off on Wednesday as well. I’m an in office bank employee. I still have my badge, laptop, access to network (removed from obvious access). I was told to come back some time this week or weekend to collect my personal belongings from my desk.
I was told that my severance package would be emailed to me in a couple of days (it arrived this morning) to both my personal and USAA email.
I’m so sorry about your treatment. It’s already a horrible day. I couldn’t imagine being treated like that. My experience was exactly what I had done to other employees in the past and was handled with care and respect.

I think the thought process was to minimize the potential damage that the affected individuals could still do while in the campus or with access to the network. But then again, this is still inhumane, they don't deserve to be treated like criminals. I don't want to be treated like this whenever my time comes.
Remember Amala and other 3 execs who were fired late last year? Immediately cut off.
@ba Then you are one of the lucky ones that didn’t get treated like a criminal. I was laid off on Wednesday morning while on PTO. I was told my system access would be turned off within the hour, I could not come back into the building to collect my personal items and say goodbye to colleagues I have known for 30+ years and that I would be notified how to return my equipment. My access was indeed cut off. No opportunity to transition my work and all of the applications I am the owner of so my teammates are going to have to go through a lot of extra work to move responsibilities to someone else. The leaders won’t be doing this it will be those left behind to clean up the mess and work even harder to fill the gap. Those left behind will work harder out of fear they will be next to have their jobs eliminated.
@b2 since 2021. We started hiring BoA and Wells people. Now they all over the organization.
@b7 you’re about to learn those were your colleagues. Work friends. They not going to advocate for you. Help you find a job. Write a referral. Even send a link for a referral for a job let alone reach out to a hiring manager. Post their displeasure on a highly tracked company communication channel when THEY are still employed? 😂 you’re cute.
Historically it usually takes 3-4 days for an article to be written on MySA or SA express. It will be tightly written and controlled with a lot of pr from USAA about how they’ve hired 4000 people and donated etc and just gave back 4 billion to members.

@b2 no one should have been escorted out. We are still employees for 60 days. I can go onto campus tomorrow if I wanted to.

OMG since when did USAA become so brutal. It's very traumatic and damaging mentally of someone escorted out with hundreds of eyes staring. Nobody wants to be shamed publicly.
Yes, once they were told, they are immediately escorted out of the building. The messengers were like I C E agents. Access to company network is immediately revoked as well. Like they committed a crime.
Definitely a bloodbath. I was canned and was told about crazy scene in SA office. People were basically pushed out and couldn’t get their personal belongings. There were cries and ba----g on desks. Terrible, just terrible!
@a3 layoffs were happening up until 5:30pm cst yesterday. It was a bloodbath.

There were quite a few layoffs yesterday. It's unclear the exact number, but it seems to have affected multiple departments in multiple CoSAs. I know that some areas in IT, InfoSec, and Bank were impacted. I'm sure there were others, but that's all I've heard of personally.
I am sure USAA PR did a good job. We should make our voice heard in social median.

What happened? Did they announce more layoffs? I heard an AVP(remote) from architecture.
