@kb that's actually much more decent than the reported 2 weeks per year of service, all the best in your future endeavors!
4 years with Visa, Staff SWE, got laid off yesterday, 1 month of severance for every year of service, 1 month garden leave, pro-rated bonus for the year, forfeit the RSUs vesting in Nov. Handed over my laptop yesterday.
Not sure what to do next but somehow a sense of relieve to get the package after anticipating it for so long. Time to move on~
Good luck and all the best to my fellow colleagues!
V is going down the gutter, it's just business!
@fa do we get compensated for unused annual leave
@f4 8
@f4 singpost office was a barren wasteland today. Guess the move to paya lebar green with fewer capacity was the canary in the coal mine.
@f9 told via to attend a meeting with HR virtually, told their comp package + garden leave, then to return their laptops at office
Any idea how any folks were asked to leave in SG ?
@f7 VAS are listed in the FAQ’s as one of the most impacted orgs.
@ee shouldnt be vas since they contributed a lot to revenue according to past earnings?
@f3 omg. Which team or floor?
Almost half of the floor.
heard news for Vas and o&i
@e7 Both offices
Singpost or RR?
its a blood bath
@dp Any idea on the SG impact? Which team impacted?
@da started alrdy

Any more news on what’s happening in Singapore?
@b5 This is how layoffs go at all companies -
Cut labor force
Take profits from earnings
Rehire cut labor force +10/20%
Never catch up with workload because all specialized talent has been cut and retained staff is overwhelmed.
Visa Denver
@be hearing that it's 2 weeks per year of service but only up to 12 weeks. Meaning you have 3 months to find a new job otherwise you'll be eating into savings already.
Does Visa Singapore follow these guidelines from MOM ?
2 weeks to 1 month salary per year of service (not capped) :
https://www.mom.gov.sg/employment-practices/retrenchment/responsible-retrenchment
2025 Project Fusion - they laid off so many people. 2026- they rehired more than the # of people they laid off, under a different org but essential the same mandate. This is the visa story.
Anyone any idea about VCA ?
@an I thought he backs talent?
@am Singapore
Any impacts to product in-region? Ram not the most inspiring so unlikely to see good people retained.
What is SG?
Confirmed, check your emails, tech and product just as mentioned by this post.
Heard O&I middleware was hit today
