Keep your resume updated. O&I teams will get impacted more.
@e0 They pay out your bonus, it's part of the layoff package. It was actually pretty nice of them
To be blunt: it’s no longer a question of if, but when and how many. Leadership—who seem completely incompetent from where we're sitting—has already signaled these 'changes' are ongoing. Here is the real playbook: Annual layoffs right before October are the new normal. Why? Because cutting headcount just before October means the company gets out of paying bonuses and granting RSUs. Then, once October actually hits, expect the standard performance-based cuts. Also, remember that keeping you stressed is a deliberate corporate tactic. If the anxiety makes you quit on your own, the company shrinks headcount without having to pay out severance. The faster you accept this reality and get your resume updated, the better.
