Internal transfer is still ongoing.

This week it was confirmed that a new group of team members has transferred from India to the US.

@jc In my experience outside of Dell, they are nothing special. At best: "average". As average as the average US-born technical worker.

If the premise was actually true that the skills were specialized and "hard to find", then people would probably not have a problem with it.

The problem comes from the indentured servitude that comes with hiring them. They are solely dependent on the Visa and will say yes to anything. Actual citizens want to have a life and work-life balance. So the claim of "they work hard" is due to the necessity of being a slave to the visa in the first place.

The problem lies with those premises altogether. If they were treated normally like a citizen would be, and their skills were actually truly specialized and hard to find, then I don't think people would have any problem with it.

I will leave you with go ahead and look into the fraud of the visa and how many credentials were found to be false.

@bv because Michael Dell knows that most of us (90%) are only good for partying / boozing/ dr-gs/ high school drop outs and being entitled… and that we are not good enough.

Call them any names you like. They are intelligent hard working people. They are here to stay. And you can’t do a thing about it.

It starts from the Top. No point living in hatred.

It's been happening for DECADES. It's all about the economics. If they can move things away from the US, they will do it.

@cg Were they the largest demographic at Dell then?

Or...has it been a gradual progression to force out Americans through the years?

@bv first time I worked with an H1B was in 1985. It isn’t a new phenomenon.

Why pay Americans a decent wage when you can import replacements as "Indentured Servants"?

The GREED of Dell is beyond the pale.

Wonder why MD gave billions to fund kids futures?

Because he didnt want the DOJ sc--wing with his HB1 pipeline
