July Layoff - Should I hold off on giving notice?

I've now heard from multiple people that the next layoff is planned for July 16th. Does anyone know what areas of the company are targeted? Is it more geared towards the retail stores? I am in FinOps and planning on submitting my two weeks notice later this month. Should I hold off? Do they really give any weight to people volunteering for the RIF? Thanks in advance.

@ch July 16th IS a Thursday of a pay week.

July 16th makes no sense. They are always Thursdays of pay weeks so IF that is true it would July 18th.

@OP what’s stopping you? If you don’t want to be here give your notice tomorrow.

If there's a 10% RIF, you have a 90% chance of not being on the list. So you can volunteer, but if you have another job, do you want to risk losing it?
