They not only fired remote, some of those are disabled and can't drive to work.
L3 should be sued out of existence. Or fined.

Let's punch up on some executives instead. The 1% is who we should be pi----g on. They make more and more money every year and the rest of us grunts make less due to their greed. We generate the profits, where's our fair share?

It's not perk when they specifically made everyone return to offices and fired all the remote software developers without having anyone trained up before doing so. If the company has a no remote or no hybrid policy, which they do, then it's not a perk.

ironically the Virginia governor elect's husband has worked remote for the past 15+ years, but he's given special treatment cause his wife is a politician. Makes total sense huh?

Honestly, this is a moot point, it should not matter where an employee sits as long as the work gets done. This comment is the result of poor leadership created by an increasing toxic and distrustful culture due to multiple unnecessary layoffs in order to manage the programs profit loss because they cannot deliver. Instead on focusing how to improve programs and give them what they need to be successful and staffed appropriately. Everyone is at each other's throats trying to save their own job. The majority of the talent has already left with the rest interviewing at larger primes with more stable environment. Leadership should be ashamed of low morale they created and hostility. This company should be focused on supporting our warfighters instead of lining our CEO pockets. You cannot fire your way out of poor performance and many other companies that are offering hybrid roles, go find one and be done with this sinking ship.

Shame on the person that said that. If someone is working hybrid is willing to take the risk then why should you care. I actually talked about that with someone and they said that the person was probably a hall monitor in high school. They should have never taken hybrid work away from the employee anyway. It is a huge perk that keeps employees happy. Of course there are abusers just like the ones that go from desk to desk gossiping or chatting all day or are on their phone all day ON SITE.

@pr perhaps he (or she) is complaining about the way essential workers were treated by the company. I was there during that period, and to be honest I am proud of the work we did in the absence of our supervisors. We did things the way we thought they should be done, and we got positive results. We moved the product along and we trained new hires the way we thought they should be trained. Those people flourished as a result. Some of our leadership, upon returning to the workspace, made some snarky remarks about the way we had tried to make them look bad in their absence. But other than that, like I said, I am proud of the work we did during that period and I have no regrets. My colleagues and I performed in a manner that was above and beyond the ethics of our own leadership.

Complaints about full remote work are valid but not a reflection of how hybrid is being used by people. I've seen it used by people who are sick enough that coming into office would be rude, but they can still work from home. Or short fridays on a 9/80 without major meetings / lab bookings. Allowing people to work from home and not take vacation when they have maintenance over or have to pick up their kids early. If you're mad that the nature of your work is one that can't be done from home during a pandemic, the choice of profession was on you. If you are so salty that you left the company and still browse these pages, that's weird and you should move on. If you are complaining that you had to make your own food during the pandemic because the cafe slop wasn't available, you are probably retirement age anyway.

Well she probably has an actual degree. Some of you are just honorary engineers with no formal training other than bullsh-ting the operations director into giving you a title you did not earn. Why do you give a cr-p if she's on a hybrid schedule? It's not taking any meat off your plate. Be content that you're overfed anyway.

And we all had to take an eye test to get the job. So there's nothing wrong with our eyesight. She checks off all the right boxes, and that's why she gets what she wants. It over it.

Yes I was there for that. Who can forget having to show up early, and queue up in that cold parking garage to fill out a form, have our temperatures taken before we were allowed to proceed to our workspace. Having to wear a mask, gloves, and plexiglass sheets between us and our co-workers. Because our supervisors were hiding in their bedrooms, we took on the additional tasks of managing the day to day operations in our own departments. We even on boarded new hires in anticipation of a die off. Because, yes, the company kept hiring new people. Our cafeteria was closed, forcing us to either Brown bag or use contactless ways of paying for our food. Of course, some of us had our debit and credit cards cloned during this time. But, since upper management was among the ones that abused it the most, the same click that always sticks together, stuck together again. The essential workers never got so much as a thank you for what they've done. So, for those of us who have safely moved on to a better employer, we watch this site. We watch it so we can gloat and laugh while we watch you all suffer. We will get the last laugh when your facility closes forever and you show up at our door begging for a job. We still know who you are, and you won't be getting the welcome mat here.

From what we all witnessed in Clifton during the pandemic, it's a wonder any of these people still has a job. I don't know how the other locations did, but at our location, fraud was rampant. I doubt if some of the people working from home put in 10 hours a week. When they were called back to the office, they screamed bloody mu---r. But, keeping with the tradition that the Clifton facility has embraced for decades, the people that stayed home, faked illness, abused the unlimited sick time, and just plain didn't work, were the ones that got the pay raises and the promotions when the pandemic was over. Those of us that towed the line during the pandemic, essential workers that came in every day, that did the work of our own leadership who was absent, were of course passed over. It was after the pandemic, that many of us left voluntarily. Before the layoffs of 2024, we took early retirements, we took other jobs, we got the he-l out of there. A curse on this company for letting that happen.

The hybrid and work from home plan would have worked had everyone done their job. It would have been a win for both the company and the employees, but the employees that abused it ruined it for everyone. The truth is, they just weren't doing the work. I really you can jump up and down, yell and scream and even hold your breath, but for those of you that had the schedule and lost it, it's not the company that did that to you, your colleagues did it.

@b5 someone said they noticed people from another program were being allowed to work hybrid despite policy changes, and that it was unfair because they wanted to work from home too. jeff responds to the effect of "name them and we will crack down, that's not allowed".
