Nepotism, “bro” network bc referral bonus, and the bs-ers who can smooth talk the buzzwords, but can’t walk the walk. And when you work long enough in trenches you don’t want to be a manager bc you start to see it is always a lose lose.

The fact that Fiato testified so poorly and looked so scared is such a terrible look for all of us. Of course it involved low ball offers too lol. Shocking.
Claims has been an absolute disaster for many years. The people under Fiato like Della Smith who have almost no knowledge of anything about leadership or claims. It’s mind blowing that the company continues to use a DEI model and allows low performers into high areas of management.
Anyone who thinks Allstate’s execs and claims leadership are competent needs to watch this. Congress beats down Allstate Chief Claims Officer Mike Fiato, and Senator Hawley calls him out in the hearing for what he describes as a “hellscape of fraudulent behavior.”
The way they operate comes off as seriously unethical, and watching Mike and the team sitting behind him, including Senior Claims VP John Micheli, should make anyone question how this leadership is still in place.

I find them very knowledgeable and competent. I’m in claims, so maybe it’s different than in your department.

90% of the "leadership" at Big Blue are mental defectives and just stupid people in general. But along with lacking in intelligence they are egomaniacs and sociopaths. Just look at the clowns in the ivory tower. I am not convinced that most of them can tie their own shoes without assistance. But they honestly believe they are gifts from God to the world.
What is a lot of fun is subtly letting these "leaders" know how stupid and unintelligent they are and they are not bright enough to even understand what you are saying or to realize that they have been told what for. Just sad ignorant souls who couldn't hack it at their levels in most other fields and companies.
