Thread regarding T-Mobile layoffs

December 18th consumer group??

I keep hearing December 18th as a date for consumer group. Directors have a PTO block after , probably to do damage control. Also expenses need approved by that date. Anyone hear anything more concrete?

You guys are all so stupid. The layoffs had to happen 60 days ahead of the next vesting cycle. Hence, it happened before 20-Feb-2026. In addition, in order to be included in 2026 Financials, we had to do layoffs two days before 31-Dec-2025, per GAAP accounting rules. What baffels me is how ignorant so many of you are. The people laid off today all got paid $1M+ severance packages - F them as they all enjoyed laying off our friends and co-workers in the past. Save your heart for the Sr. People Manager who were the best IC's last year, but get fired due to d-mb HR span of control policies - which are arbitrary at best. These folks will get crushed, with near 50% of the cuts
below director, impacting them. Further, if you want to hide and collect a paycheck, there are pockets like Engineering, Corporate Strategy, and Digital, where you are immune people realize that they are the new TFB, in 1-2 years.

@dd internal announcements. Several cuts at the leadership level. More announcements pending. Afternoon call scheduled for 1.5 hours. Whoever called this out yesterday was on point.

A majority of the company isn't around after the 20th. They want to have all of the paperwork and finances done prior to 12/31. It's an annual closeout not a layoff.

Were you not required to learn anything about how a business runs?
