Thread regarding Centene Corp. layoffs

VSP and People on Leae

I know of at least one person maternity leave that they never reached out to about the VSP. This person had no idea until a coworker reached out to them. I wonder how many people on leave were never informed?

@dg Michael did not choose Sarah, the progressive board did.

@cp people on leave has nothing to do with these layoffs, it’s mismanagement of the company by Sarah that is causing this. She lost so much money for this company, that Michael is tossing and turning in his grave. I wish Michael never chose Sarah to lead. The company was doing just fine without her. She needs to go, and I hope the board sees that before laying off people because of AI blows up in their face

@cp First of all, it doesn't matter what your opinion is when deciding what constitutes medical / disability leave. If it were not legit, it would not be approved. We are not all popping out babies or taking mental health days, but it seems you need one! I was diagnosed with cancer I certainly did not ask for which required surgery and now chemotherapy. I would much rather be working and having 100% of my pay than the 60%. I happen to love my job and my team and did get the email to my personal email but I am not entertaining it. Due to this being a restructure, those of us on leave are no more protected or safe than any of you, but I cannot afford the mental stress of this on top of my medical situation. Maybe you shouldn't be so judgmental.

@cp so “work ethic” and “personal discipline” means you should devote your entire being to work instead of starting a family? You sound ridiculous and quite frankly like you live a lonely and miserable personal life.

@cp past generations didn’t need maternity leave because the man made enough to sustain a family while the woman stayed home to raise the family…. Wild.. I know..

The amount of people on “leave” at any one time at this place likely contributed to its economic woes. Hard to get work done when half your team is either plopping out babies or needing a mental health day. Certainly not the work ethic and personal discipline of past generations.

I am out on disability and received an email to my personal address. It’s a legal obligation; corporate has to notify all employees. Can’t discriminate, pick and choose is not lawful.

People on leave had it sent to the personal email they had on file

@ad my person on short term disability looked for a personal email after I called her to tell her what was going on. So horrible for those out on disability.

as someone who’s Director is milking their medical leave after extremely poor behavior to avoid termination (they literally made up an illness), they better be the first to go.

The entire team has absorbed their work and they clearly are not needed anymore. Good riddance.

@a1 Interesting that you think that people on leave should have to worry about checking their personal email related to business affairs when on leave. They are on leave for a reason.

So tell them to check their personal email, I know someone who is on medical leave. I told them to check their spam and they received one
