Thread regarding Paramount Global layoffs

They want us to quit

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again. The goal is to get many of us to the point where we can’t take the stress anymore and walk out on our own. That saves them money on severance. That’s why they’ll drag this out into several rounds. That’s why the culture keeps getting more toxic by the day. They want us gone, and they don’t want to pay us to leave.

Yes! I definitely feel they are trying to drive you out. The SVP called a manager out to the team just to embarrass him for not answering an email (ONE email!) when the other managers sit on many emails for 3 months and nothing gets said to them! The Director also sits on emails for months at a time and that's somehow acceptable. When it gets escalated for its urgency, it gets dumped on him with "please make this your priority", like he has nothing else to do while he's putting in more hours than anyone else in the dept. His other team members are constantly harassed as well. Any mistakes he makes gets ridiculed to the entire team to make him look bad. These Directors and SVPs are absolutely diabolical!

@c9 in theory this is correct but in reality a bonus is not guaranteed and they can basically just decide not to give it for any reason. Im vry much hoping we will get them but trying to keep expectations down

If you are here past the end of the year, you have earned your bonus and it will be paid. What you will not get is the performance or business multiplier, which is usually calculated in March.

@bz Pretty sure you have to still be employed at time of payout in March

@ba if there is a bonus. Let’s not assume anything with this new leadership.

@ba literally my goal, holding out as long as I can to get my bonus and then leaving. Especially with the RTO I’ll be taking a huge pay cut with commuting and childcare. Paired with the garbage people running this company it’s not worth it anymore.

They'll have to drag me out because I'm either getting severance if I get laid off, or I'll until March 2026 to get bonus. Not holding my breath on bonuses though given track record of this fascist regime.
