If I get laid off during the holidays, I fear that my wife won’t love me anymore and my son will be disappointed because I won’t be able to afford to give him a GI Joe with Kung-Fu grip.
It seems like every year they announce a layoff right around the holidays and it ruins them for me. Obviously, this company has no heart!
The reason you don't follow that logic, is because you don't see how the deadbeats in the C-suit think. If you are not going to make your budget number target and don't want to be on an end of year list. Then you lay off techs in order to meet those targets. You can't renegotiate contracts mid year but you can lay off people so that the organization on paper shows the numbers that will avoid getting your name on a list. That is all these people care about, they do not want their name on lists. I have heard them talking about it constantly . It's called situational awareness.

Cuts right before the Holidays are VERY common.

People frequently let go in early December to get them off the books for next calendar year.
He announced the approved funding for the Ticket 2 Fraud program until at least 2030.
He confirmed rumors of auditor estimates that the cost of each Ticket processed on the new ServiceNever system will average 420 thousand dollars each. He offered that development costs will be offset by lower operating costs as tickets will be handled offshore with our new outsourcing partners IPGS. Doing a quick google search I did a background check on the company. The companies full name is India Pharmaceuticals and Goat Sales. They’re known for their excellent customer service, handling everything from Viagra sales, IRS collections, car warranty discounts and of course the widest selection goats and mutton.
We will be hiring more “ leggy” blondes to improve the appearance of the group and boost morale!

We were told no more cuts until the beginning of next year and that there was no cost savings letting people go this late in the year. That is what our Director communicated on his call with us a while ago.
